Adnan Ahmed

Adnan Ahmed is the Head of ICT and CISO at Ornua, a dairy co-operative headquartered in Dublin, it has annualised sales of over €2.5 billion and is Ireland’s largest exporter of Irish dairy products, exporting to 110 countries worldwide. Adnan leads the security operations and ICT management teams, as well as oversees security risk assessment and mitigation initiatives to protect Ornua’s critical infrastructure globally. He has overseen security for high-availability manufacturing sites and applications, provided thought leadership around information security and is a respected leader with a proven ability to coach teams to excellence.

Adnan has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry ranging from application development, solutions architecture, and design, building, and implementing security operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NED University, Pakistan and a Master’s in Business Administration from Liverpool John Moores University, UK.

Adnan is an active member of several CISO forums such as CXO Global, UK/IRL CISO Alliances, Evanta/Gartner UK & Ireland CISO, SANS CISO Network and various local and EU-wide CISO chapters. Adnan is a regular speaker at Security Conferences.
