Ben Pivar is Chief Information Officer at Carter’s Oshkosh B’gosh. In this role, he is responsible for creating the vision and roadmap for Information Technology while also managing project delievery, applications, security, infrastructure, desktop, business intelligence and support. Ben has 25 years of experience in the Retail, Consumer Products, Merchandising, Supply Chain and IT, of which the last 15 years have been in Executive Leadership roles. He has won several awards including the 2018 CIO of the year from Retail Information Systems and a 2017 TAG Excalibur award honoring a key supply chain planning project at Carter’s. In addition, Ben is actively involved with the NRF CIO council and the Amazon Web Services Retail Advisory Committee. Ben has recently taken on responsibility for Data & Analytics at Carter’s and is driving a significant transformation towards a self-service model.
Ben is actively involved in the community and is a board member for Quality Care for Children, a Georgia based non-profit that focuses on improving early childhood learning and development.
Ben was formerly Senior Vice President at Capgemini and served as the Retail Leader in North America and previously as the Supply Chain leader for North America. As a 13-year veteran with the company, Ben was responsible for driving the growth of Capgemini’s Retail Industry Practice with differentiated solutions, strategic partnerships and a team of experts with domain-rich experiences in Merchandising, ERP, Supply Chain, Omni-Channel Solutions, Mobility, Analytics, Master Data Management and Cloud Services.

He holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a BS in Physics from UC Irvine
