Chaim Yudkowsky is currently Chief information Officer for American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the DC headquartered not-for-profit focused on lobbying for a strong US-Israel relationship. In that role, Chaim is responsible for all traditional IT functions including oversight of helpdesk, IT strategy, vendor relationships, data center and outsourcing, software as a service relationships, and telecommunications. In addition, Chaim also has primary responsibility for all physical security technology and strategy for the headquarters offices and the 18 domestic offices nationwide and event technology for the many AIPAC events nationwide including the AIPAC Policy Conference event in DC.
Before joining AIPAC, Mr. Yudkowsky was Chief Information Officer for Beltsville, MD-based Textilease Corporation from 1999 – 2003. While there, Chaim helped this privately-held industrial uniform & linen / medical & first aid services company with 27 sites across US enhance the strategic visibility of IT in the boardroom as a competitive advantage aligned with organizational goals, maximizing return on investment with proactive initiatives. In addition, he served as executive lead for the integration of information technology and business processes during the absorption of three acquisitions – the largest was a $12 million manufacturer and distributor.
Before joining Textilease, Mr. Yudkowsky had a number of roles from 1986 - 1999 at Grabush, Newman & Co., P.A., a Towson, MD –based the regional CPA and consulting firm. In his last role as Vice President, Director of Management Consulting Services, Chaim successfully assisted clients in preparing strategic technology plans, systems searches, installation, training, implementation, and post-implementation facilitation. Systems included ERP, supply chain management, manufacturing controls. Chaim also assisted expert witnesses and attorneys in litigation support services handling large quantities of data for analysis with success for the clients. Finally, in his roles he created and presented training course work on a variety of topics including software instruction and cash flow management.
While still in college, Chaim started serving as a Financial Consultant for the Baltimore Orioles where he designed templates to compute the present value of player deferred compensation, saving tens of thousands of dollars of annual audit fees.
Mr. Yudkowsky is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Technology Professional, Certified Global Management Accountant. He attended Towson University in Towson, MD where he earned a BS in Accounting with Minor Computing Science.
Mr. Yudkowsky has been active professionally and in the community throughout his career. Highlights include extensively publishing locally and nationally since the late 1980s. He was a nationally syndicated columnist for over 10 years. He is an active member of the Maryland Association of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs and served as a planning committee member of AICPA Tech+ Conference from 2004 through 2010.
