Denys Diaz

Denys Diaz is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for TowneBank. In his current position, Mr. Diaz is responsible for developing information technology strategic plans and road maps to meet the company’s business goals. Current responsibilities include technology platforms, digital transformation, data analytics, technology risk, information security and business continuity across various lines of business throughout the organization.

Mr. Diaz has been an information technology professional in the financial services industry for thirty years. Before joining TowneBank, Denys served in executive technology leadership positions for twenty years at various financial institutions of diverse size and complexity including Monarch Bank, Lone Star National Bank, Hillcrest Bank and Lloyds TSB Bank in the U.S.

Denys obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Florida International University in 1990 and is a graduate of the School of Bank Management from the University of Virginia, class of 2014. Mr. Diaz currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of South Hampton Roads.
