Ed Newman is a seasoned business professional and technology expert with over 25 years of experience in K-12 education. He is currently the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Technology Director for Education Service Center Region 12.
Throughout his career, Ed has held various leadership positions, including serving as the Director of Technology for a large school district. He has led numerous large-scale technology projects, including the implementation of enterprise-wide systems, cybersecurity initiatives, and digital transformation efforts.
Outside of work, Ed is actively involved in his community. He serves on a local school board and volunteers at his local church.
Ed holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and History from a prestigious university located in Texas and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. He also holds several industry certifications.
