Gary Hansen

Gary Hansen has been with BI WORLDWIDE, a global leader in employee, sales, and channel engagement, for the past 26 years. In his current role as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, he oversees a broad spectrum of technology responsibilities, including innovation, product development, delivery, support, and infrastructure.
In addition to his technology leadership, Gary also manages a diverse portfolio of business units and support teams. These include merchandising, award fulfillment, warehousing, contact center, gamification, learning, decision sciences, and consulting services. Under his stewardship, BI WORLDWIDE has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from a paper-intensive mainframe operation to an innovative, web-based organization that delivers cloud-based software and related services to some of the world’s most recognized brands.

Prior to joining BI WORLDWIDE, Gary served as Business Applications Manager at Gateway, a Fortune 500 computer manufacturer. With a career that began in computer programming, Gary brings over 39 years of information technology experience across a range of industries, including higher education, government, consulting, and global business. Gary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and has completed extensive post- graduate work in technology management.
