James is the CIO of Ireland’s largest recruitment agency. He is interested in all areas of technology, and how it relates to driving value to business and making people more productive and work more enjoyable. James has worked in retail, financial services and healthcare IT as well as running his own start-up. He has led communities of practice for IT Analysis & Design and Project Management and is a passionate advocate for sustainable IT work – meaning a sensible work / life balance while delivering on-time and on budget. Since joining Cpl, he has led a full agile transformation of Cpl’s award-winning IT delivery team and developed a highly effective IT offering that is right at the cutting-edge of the recruitment industry using AI, low-code and cloud solutions to enhance the company’s client and candidate offerings.
As well as his passion for IT and Business, James is an interested economist, a keen DIYer and a dedicated scout leader and father of three.
