John Kurvink started his career as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Ottawa, Ontario working in a private laboratories and acute care hospitals there. He is CPA, CA with a Master of Health Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa.
John is the Vice President Performance & Financial Strategy and CFO/CIO at Grey Bruce Health Services, a six-hospital integrated health delivery system headquartered in Owen Sound, Ontario. Grey Bruce Health Services also leads the Georgian Bay Information Network, a partnership of six hospital corporations, representing 16 acute care hospitals, across Ontario, that operate a shared instance of the Oracle Health Electronic Medical Record. Previously, John was the Chief Financial Officer at the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, which is a regional level of municipal government headquartered in Penticton, British Columbia. John is the Past President of the Rotary Club of Penticton. John was the former Chair of the Midland Power Utility Corporation and served on the Audit Committee for the Town of Midland.
John currently serves on the Council of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
