Ken Meyer is a Senior Vice President and the Consumer Chief Technology Officer for SunTrust Banks, Inc. In this role, Ken is responsible for the technology strategy, delivery, and support of SunTrust Mortgage, Retail Banking, and Private Wealth Management. In addition, Ken is also responsible for Marketing technology and all enterprise digital assets at SunTrust Banks, Inc. Once the proposed merger of equals between SunTrust and BB&T closes; Ken will become the Digital Channels and Innovation Divisional Chief Information Officer for Truist.
Prior to this role, Ken was the Enterprise Solutions Chief Technology Officer responsible
for enterprise architecture, shared services delivery, governance and execution methodology, the investment planning process, strategy, and financial oversight of Enterprise Information Services (EIS).
He joined EIS in July 2016 after multiple positions in the Wholesale segment of SunTrust Banks, Inc. Most recently, the Head of Wholesale Lending Operations. Ken was responsible for the Middle Office that supports Small Business Banking, Commercial and Business Banking, Private Wealth Management, Equipment Finance, and Commercial Real Estate, Letters of Credit and Trade Services, Syndicated Loan Servicing, and the Lending Operations Back Office. Prior to that, Ken led the Wholesale Administration team which was responsible for Wholesale Operations strategy and execution, mobilization of outsourcing initiatives and operational excellence. He worked closely with the Wholesale leadership team on strategic initiatives inclusive of process and technology enablement, location consolidation and targeted outsourcing.
Meyer joined SunTrust in December 2013 from Accenture, where he had experience working with leading financial institutions, including four years supporting SunTrust. Some of Meyer’s previous clients include Santander, Farmers Insurance, BB&T, Toyota Financial Services, Wachovia/Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley. His industry experience has centered on retail and commercial banking clients, leading large transformation and business process design programs, and large system implementations.
Meyer is a graduate of the University of Georgia and lives in Atlanta with his wife, Bridgette, and their three children, Oliver, Olivia and Nora.
