A winner of the 2018 Campus Technology Impact Awards and an inductee of Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Religious Studies Honor Society, Linda Buckley is the Assistant Vice President for the Office of the CIO. She currently oversees Service Management, Portfolio Management, Communications and Training, special projects and overall departmental operations to include business, finance and procurement.
Since joining Georgetown University in 2012, Linda has successfully stabilized, implemented and overseen a number of large-scale, complex, high risk programs/projects to include Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Financials (Georgetown Management System), GU-PASS, our Conflict of Interest and Research compliance system built in Mendix, Huron Institutional Review Board. She was the Program Manager and IT sponsor for Georgetown 360, Georgetown’s constituent relationship management system, built on Salesforce and Affinaquest, which powers our Advancement system, Faculty360, Advising 360 and Hoya360.
At Georgetown, she has served as the Associate Director, HRIS Applications; Associate Director, Financial Applications; Director Financial Systems; Senior Director for Administrative Applications;
and as the Assistant Vice President for Administrative Applications.
Certified in program management with both the Defense Acquisition University and the Federal Acquisition Institute, prior to joining Georgetown, Linda’s portfolio includes having served as the Acting Deputy CFO, US Marshals Service. She was a Principal Assistant Program Manager, Naval Surface Ship Weapons with the U.S. Navy Department and as, founding Program Manager for the Far-Term Sea-based Terminal program with the Missile Defense Agency where she held several program management and acquisition positions for nearly twenty years.
Linda holds a Master of Liberal Studies from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.; a Master of Liberal Arts in Soviet Studies and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, in Washington, D.C.; and, an Advanced Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
